The Alberta Symphony Orchestra Society is thrilled to present Music in the Air, featuring Cara Lianne McLeod, soprano, and Emilio De Mercato, pianist.
Cara and Emilio will be performing a series of outdoor concerts for the audiences of Edmonton and Alberta to bring hope and comfort to people and communities wherever possible by sharing their music throughout the summer.
The program will include classical voice and piano repertoire, solo piano, crossover and pop music, and occasionally feature guest artists.
There are three different ways to see Music in the Air:
• Public performances;
• Private bookings;
• Private business engagements.
Audience members at public performances will be asked to make a suggested donation of $25 per person (and will receive a charitable receipt), but Cara, Emilio, and the ASO are committed to offering these performances to everyone, particularly marginalized people in our communities, whether they are able to give a donation or not. ASO also hopes to increase awareness throughout the province about the organization and upcoming initiatives. Suggested amount for corporate venues is a $500 donation to ASO, and the businesses will
receive a charitable receipt.
These 30-35 minute recitals will be held in public, private and business outdoor venues including backyards, parking lots, parks, squares, courtyards, cul-de-sacs and patios, where distancing is possible.
According to AHS Guidelines: as of June 10, 2021, concerts/festivals are allowed with a maximum of 150 people. Physical distancing protocols to be in place at all venues.
